Located 20 miles south-west of Denver, MAR has been around
for 76 years. We arrived on a Wednesday and, as at many
clubs during the week, things were quiet. The 90-plus
sunbeds, neatly arranged around the sizeable warm pool, gave
a clue that weekends would be different. What struck us immediately
was the large playground by the pool--something we had only ever
seen once before at a US nudist resort…kids really are
welcome! Our experience at many US nudist resorts is that
they portray themselves as "family" oriented but make little
effort to encourage families or children. Not so at MAR. No
wonder it boasts many family members, including more than
50 children. Despite this, we talked to members who told us
their biggest challenge is to continually look for ways of attracting more families!
